Bio-Rad Laid off 5% of their workforce on 2/10/25.
They said they're spending more money than they're making. I suspect they see that research money is going to be cut back among many other financial reasons. I'm shocked that there's nothing in the news about it.

Warn letter says 5% (based on 8800 on the Org Chart of 7700 employees recent posting). Somebody posted 559 affected mostly in USA. Well, with WARN, we all got 2 months then on April 11th, we are actually terminated. Hard to find out who is cut but if you check internal email, affected persons are "Status: Unknown" and their Teams is off line.
Think the worst part was after HR told you, you got cut off from all Company communications. No way to say good bye. Many persons had 10 to 26+ years service.... cutting high cost employees no doubt. Probably another round in the fall. I'm still there, holding my breath.
