Those who created and enforce these policies do not WANT a work/life balance. They destroyed that for themselves while climbing the ladder. They no longer have healthy relationships (if any at all) with their spouses or children. Now that they're at the top, they are lonely and have no purpose in life outside of their professional identities. They NEED to be in an office or traveling between locations as a way to mask their emptiness. THAT is why these policies will remain.

Wow. I need to screenshot this. AI will fix future work life balance spewing based on this post alone. In the office is where we need to be for normal life before AI takes over. Been done In the office for 100÷ years till recently. Quit bothering us or get another Job with the freedom you are wanting
