@am+1jky7nz0e JP Morgan Chase actually pays its employees properly with bonus, starting from entry level engineer, and gives 4 weeks PTO. It's not a ponzi scheme the same way as First Data Serv. They have real money.

While much of what is said here is true, it’s apparent that some still don’t realize what actually happened in 2019. First Data was always the dominant player in what was an acquisition in name only.

You are asking the wrong questions. What made Fiserv a great place to work before it went bad?

The people made it a great place to work.

It became bad when the people were laid off.

The people are not coming back. So the culture is not returning either.

Stop looking back. Take stock of where you are and move forward to the company you want it to be.

To get Fiserv's work culture back on track, it would require significant changes in management and leadership, as many employees feel that the company's culture has deteriorated since the acquisition of FirstData.
Some employees suggest that the company should revert to its previous policies, such as allowing remote work and valuing employee recognition and teamwork.
Additionally, addressing the issues of low employee morale, lack of compassion from management, and the emphasis on meeting targets over employee well-being would be essential.
It is also crucial to hire competent people and pay them fairly, rather than prioritizing cheap labor.
Furthermore, fostering a dynamic environment with strong growth opportunities, promoting innovation, and maintaining a good work-life balance would be vital in restoring the company's culture.

Improved Management: Fiserv needs to appoint leaders who prioritize employee well-being and recognize the value of teamwork and employee recognition.
Flexible Work Arrangements: Allowing remote work and providing a better work-life balance would help to boost employee morale and productivity.
Competent Hiring: The company should focus on hiring skilled and competent employees, rather than prioritizing cheap labor.
Fair Compensation: Fiserv should ensure that employees are paid fairly for their work and are not expected to work without pay.
Employee Recognition: Recognizing and valuing employees' contributions would help to improve morale and motivation.

The Fiserv work culture is being destroyed by the leaders from First Data, who took over after Fiserv acquired the company.
According to reviews from former employees, the new leadership has implemented policies that have led to a toxic work environment, including annual reductions in force, micromanagement, and a lack of autonomy for employees.
The quality of new hires has also been criticized, with some employees feeling that the company is prioritizing cheaper labor over competence.
The acquisition of First Data has been cited as a turning point in the decline of Fiserv's work culture, with some employees feeling that the company has lost its innovative and forward-thinking approach.
The CEO of First Data, who took over at Fiserv, has been particularly criticized for implementing policies that have led to a significant decline in employee morale and job security.
Overall, it appears that the leadership from First Data is primarily responsible for destroying the Fiserv work culture
