Greetings,
This exciting disruption is being discussed prematurely, but it sounds like another resounding win for our customers!
Full Stop!
There is a cross-team group being assembled to "explore" moving WebAssign content onto the Learnosity platform. Even though they are just "exploring," the potential, you know that someone in the C-Suite has probably already decided it is going to work. I can't remember the last time I've seen a decision made at Cengage that reflects what actual employees think should be done.
What was this? I've not seen any official news that something happened.
Learno is allegedly the "way forward" but from what I have heard it is rife with issues. Cuts came the conversion and support teams. Expect a slowdown to products that need to transition through MTAU.
These cuts which will probably make the platform less stable, but rumors are they want to move more subjects onto it.
Is there any blowback in sales yet for anything that has been converted? It feels like that is the only way anyone in upper management will believe that something has failed.
Well, if by innovation you mean innovating ways to outsource most of the U.S.-based jobs, then yes, Cengage is ki-ling it with the “innovation”!!
There is innovation at Cengage? Serious question.
Are the consultant from a certain Eastern European based company?
good luck with the lousy offshore devs
It's unfortunate. I heard specifically that consultants are there to help not make cuts. I guess it's all hush hush
What are you talking about. The majority of the tech team is comprised of out sourced Indian.
Technology group just got a lot more male and white ☹️
Just heard from a friend in that group that was let go today. Seems that "consultants" are involved in the process.
What exactly is the plan here?
Offshore engineering and hope the remaining staff just quit?
Sh-t su-ks.
