Manager is being catty and pushing for high quality work. Like I have to do 10 hours of work. Is it worth it? Or applying outside is the right decision?
Anyone successfully exited CAP? How did you do that?

I have had an employee on CAP before without intent to fire them. For my situation it was truly meant as a wake up call to a 6-figure earner who was not performing. Had valuable skills but was not delivering. Employee did rehab and stayed employed. It’s not always about getting rid of people, at least in my experience.
Get out and find something else. They are finding a way to get rid of you for performance so they don’t have to pay severance.
Sounds pretty generic to me. Apply inside and outside for sure. Ask for more details in writing on what you need to do to improve and file an IDR. Remember it’s not only your manager who voted you a 2 it’s others on the management team because they didn’t want their employees ousted. You are on your way out make them work and provide answers why. It’s really a popularity contest and not your work. You might get severance in the next few rounds that’s why they marked you a 2 as a lower performer.Don’t quit without a new job or you won’t get unemployment. They really want you to quit. Stay firmly grounded no matter what and don’t quit until you have a new job. You can do this! You are looking out for your best interests. If you get fired in MN you still get unemployment! Become familiar with your state unemployment.
it depends on what "quality" means. could be a quite biased metric. @ 1jkxdcfps
In what world is high quality work not expected?
