It’s unbelievable how their only tool is cost-cutting, yet they haven’t let go of the one person who snowballed them through the interview process and over the years, ultimately getting us to this point. He should be ashamed of himself, apologize for his incompetence, and admit his greed. How did he sleep last night, and what will he do today? Who will hold him accountable, and with what authority will he face his employees? Who will believe him, and why should anyone give him the courtesy to tell more lies?"

The board don't care. Otherwise they would have booted him a long time ago. IMHO SM is the worst CEO on the NASDAQ. Simple lacks any skill, leadership qualities and doesn't inspire anyone to want to become a better person. He is mid level manager at best who has been promoted well beyond his capability.
People have been saying this for the last 2-3 Teradata CEOs.
Then they were layed off.
It's not important anymore, Teradata is done. Databricks and Snowflake are picking at the carcus stealing customers when they beg to get them off Teradata.
The only way forward here is PE. I jumped shop after my first 1:1 with this joker.

go woke --> go broke
SM was a joke from the beginning. On my first 1:1 with him I knew. Rookie CEO when Teradata needed a veteran. Too bad it didn’t have to be this way. Rookie CEO, absent legacy CTO, and apathetic clueless BOD. What a sad depressing story.
The board could care a less. They collect their pay checks. They should all be wiped out.
SM travels around the world on your dime. How many C level people have left over the last few years?
Embarrassing.
