If we get acquired, do you think Extreme will run independently? I’ve heard everything from Commscope to Fortinet as buyers. If Commscope I could see us replacing their ruckus product teams and running the show , If Fortinet I could see use getting replaced by their teams.

Extreme Networks, where innovative technology goes to die. On paper, the market share has increased over the past decade, however, the network and software installation share has decreased. New company logos are few and small. If your only customer base has financial volatility expect your sales to be unstable and unpredictable. This is an engineerling led company and they ki-l off the stuff that works for flash and vaporware.
@46m During an acquisition layoffs can and do occur on both entities. When Aerohive was acquired in 2019, there were layoffs in Extreme where incoming Aerohive people took positions held by Extreme people.
Never trust anyone with a ponytail ! He knows how to play the game, great talk but no good vision in improving product quality with good technical engineers.
They layoff engineers here in USA and hire in east Europe or Asia without any good experience in WiFi and networking.
He should be held responsible for no product revenues or profit growth.
When Avaya was acquired they slashed half the current team before we were badged Extreme. It was part of the acquisition.

I know I’m looking for a new job while I still have a job at extreme. The job market is not great. There are people that got laid off in Oct 2023 from extreme that are still looking for a job. If I were you I’d start looking elsewhere
So naive, being acquired means layoffs to the company being acquired….
