Unfortunately I was one of those affected this week. Absolutely sickened at being laid off, put in so much work over the last year and to have the rug pulled in this way was a real gut punch.

Students all over the world BOOOOing AI talk at graduations. META laying off 10% of its workforce due to efficiencies in AI - There is a revolution going on right now to stop the ELITE from destroying the PEACE and HAPPINESS associated with having a human PURPOSE in life. Something that will soon disappear overnight if the rich elite tech owners get their way!!
Without a PURPOSE in life, AI means nothing. It represents the loss of farmland or residential housing, affordable power and the poisoning and depletion of water supplies.
Where are all the conservationists against the increasing CARBON FOOTPRINT????? We've been sticking green leaf stickers on clothes washers that don't even fill up the clothes baskets but we are allowing an approval of a data center everyday? Artificial Intelligence will add more CO2 (more than 100 million times its current level) than any coal mine, gas well, any monster truck, Jet airplanes or any fleet of commercial vehicle. Why are we we not understanding?

So you learned a lesson. Hard work does not pay off. Loyalty goes only one way. Do the job, don't waste your life making Zuck or the next CEO richer. Unless you're the CEO yourself.
