Anyone just not going to do it? RTO

So I decided even though I live within 30 minutes and my status will inevitably be updated to on site - I'm just not going to do it. I'll keep working remotely and doing well and we will just see what happens. I think I'll just make excuses.. there are loads to choose from. Anyone else doing the same?

Hang tight. There are no email directives without a policy being polished behind the scenes just in time for go live.

Resist if you will, I sure as sh-t did. But just be aware of the consequences….. if you’re okay with them then so be it.

It’s not going to go well for non followers. And that’s how they want it. More volunteers for the next WFR.

"There’s no out here. Beware.

If you don’t RTO exactly as policy states, you are violating policy and this put on a PIP (pretty quickly)."

Which policy? There is none. Zero. I guess all of us would like to see this document.
And you can't be punished for violating the document which does not even exist!

There’s no out here. Beware.

If you don’t RTO exactly as policy states, you are violating policy and this put on a PIP (pretty quickly).

If your manager/leader does not follow or comply, so will he/she.

If you don’t follow the policy, you can even be dismissed without PIP and no severance.

It’s a sh-t show.

The only people that will be able to bypass are those that are outside the 1 hour mark, or have a reasonable accommodation. They won’t mess with that. But it must be legit.

Thank You.
I feel my job secure because we still have so much people choose remote.
I will do RTO anyway.
Thank You Again.

If you have a Dr note for a legit medical reason I would think that you would be covered. For instance if you are unable to drive in because of medical limitations at that time.

"The direction we have received is that we should use the PIP process for any team members averaging less than 4 days per week"
And what this PiP will be all about? Not being in 5 days? How's that related to performance at all? They will have to have real hard core evidence that your performance had dropped before putting you on PiP. Else they gonna get sc--wed, at least in Europe.
If it's a disciplinary action for policy violation, well, show us that policy first.
Let's say, my car is wrecked, so I can't drive to the office any more, policy should account for situations like that. But, if policy is not available, as it is now, there's nothing they can do if you don't do 5 days. They can bully you, etc, so better record everything and sc--w them hard if they dare talking any action.

Ah, yes, the sweet symphony of fluorescent lights and the melodic hum of the printer jamming for the third time—truly, nothing compares to the warm embrace of the connected work family. I cherish the daily pilgrimage to the office, where I can bask in the radiant glow of my coworkers’ screensavers and engage in soul-nourishing small talk about the weather. It’s like Cheers, but no one knows your name.

I'm glad we're back to 5 days RTO as it feels like I have my family back. I live alone and have no friends except my work family. I believe Michael Dell that we're all a family here to the extent I could drive to Michael's home in RR at Thanksgiving and be invited to his feast.

The direction we have received is that we should use the PIP process for any team members averaging less than 4 days per week. It was even mentioned that managers not complaint enforcing this will be subject to PIPs as well. With a PIP, you will be let go when you don’t improve without a separation package in April. If you show improvement, low performers will be part of the next WFR late spring / early summer. Hope this helps with your planning. Good luck.

I was told that anyone who did not comply would be put on a PIP, but I think it's highly dependent on your management. My management has not been flexible, at all.
