WFR Requested

Has anyone just requested to be WFR when the time comes? Managers like to have a bit of padding for WFR . Why not volunteer to be that padding?

This is a tricky one.. I know a few colleagues who were able to work this out with their managers by having a honest and direct conversation. And I also know one odd managers who didn’t take it well..

It really depends on the manager, if he / she is a stuck up - do not broach this topic. It’s a really tricky, simple thing to do is quiet quit and eventually you’ll be on the list
