Acute therapy home infusion

Does anyone else think the company is going away from acute therapy? Are further branch closures for infusion likely?

Yea absolutely. The acute infusion team recently experienced another reduction in force/layoff. All sales reps were affected as well as the clinical partners such as dietitians. There are no more sales reps and remaining "reps" are now nurse liaisons. They are told acute infusion is no longer a "growth market", whatever that means.

Not sure for now… our infusion branch dismantled the acute therapy last year and we are now servicing only chronic patients. This has left several infusion nurses struggling to get their FT hours due to decreased visits. Something must be done and soon!
