Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

Moving back home with my parents

Anybody else in the same boat after being laid off? I feel like such a loser.

I am a FTE of nearly 5 years and I cannot afford to save any money. I live paycheck to paycheck. The 2% raises have finally caught up and this year I will be forced to find a new job. My kids don’t even know about Santa Claus because I cannot afford to buy them gifts. I wish HP had a food pantry for employeees.

"I feel like such a loser."

At least 30% of kids under 30 live with their parents. You are not alone. This economy is a mirage, and is only good for the C-Suite and a few lucky ones who work for companies like NVIDIA. Look at HP stock which is lower than it was 2-3 years ago.

I wish I could move back to my parents. Save a boat ton of money doing that...

Nothing wrong with that. Any parent would love to have their kids home even if you are not laid off.
