Does anyone know if they can negotiate their severance package? Has anyone tried and what were their results?

They don’t owe you anything, just like you can leave at any point.
No negotiations. If you don’t accept it in the timeframe listed you miss out. If you accept it, you can’t take any legal action. Even if you tried, I doubt you’d get anywhere. They make a business out of cutting people when they are too old, too vocal, too expensive. On my team mostly vocal females over 45, but they know how to keep it legal and threw in a few token 20-30 something males. There is no fighting it.
NO UHG never negotiates take it or leave it. Dont waste time with employment lawyer they are only in it for the money and you may end up with nothing if you refuse the severance offered. Unless you are just plush with cash
Consult a lawyer to make sure before signing off on your severance package. Once you sign off there is a stipulation you can’t go after them for more. Worth a free consult with an employment lawyer.
Not it is not. It based on years of service, your current salary and that's it. Nothing you can do.
