Thread regarding Omnissa layoffs

Who from Omnissa would you fire?

Looking at where the company is going, what they have been doing to the employees, and the complete lack of innovation and serious problems with the products.

All the people from Mobile Iron who were going to come in and "show us how to do it." They haven't done anything but flap their gums and collect money.

The entire executive team. But KKR is a ok with the status quo they want to run lean and renew customers to pump up the net profits for the sale

Renu has had a free pass for too long.Over promoted, talentless, narcissistic boot li---r.We have less than no pipeline.I wish she would go and infuse her AI vapourware somewhere else.Never interested in what you say unless she can get something out of it.Looks like a robotic puppet on stage.

Most people who have worked in the same company, doing essentially the same thing, for over a decade have the same core issue: They support the status quo, no matter the outcome. Summarizing my time here, the culture of apathy has defined our destiny.

Jared… yeah, I remember working with him in the past. Came in, caused a bunch of issues and left us to sort it out. I do wonder how he has managed to survive up to now when we have lost so many people worth much much more.

Looks like Jared is the top contender. He knows as well, desperately trying to get comments pulled. He was successful on a couple of them. Management are looking at this too...lol.

Poor Jared, not very popular it seems. I wonder if he knows and if he does probably doesn’t care. Maybe termination will humble him.

Sales management in Emea is a bunch of incompetents who steal salaries and don't even know what Omnissa sells. I hope that sooner or later kkr realizes what charlatans they are and gives more space to those who at least know the customers

Shankar would be the first+2 - start at the top of Omnissa SLT ineptitude

Jared must leave the company. At least half of the employees don’t support his attitude.

HR should investigate this matter because he lacks complete respect for others.

All the people that have been promoted past their capabilities - Peter principle. This has happened a lot, people that have left a mess behind then but have still been promoted. They have managed to lose some of them along the way but there are still a number of them still working at Omnissa that really need to go. They are safe now though as they are part of the boys club. Hopefully this will change with the impending change in leadership.

I agree Jared is probably the most arrogant person I’ve ever worked with but I kind of admire his pure unapologetic bluntness. Although at the same time it is reckless at that level.

An inverse way of considering this question of who -- is there 'anyone' on the Omnissa leadership team that KKR should keep because they are qualified for their role?

Operations is a mess, it takes weeks to get quotes - the SKU and product system is ridiculous - there are 400 acronyms for quoting rules and add ons, mid term, upgrade etc etc etc. It shouldn't be that hard.

Hiring and having a renewal team is a huge mistake. We sell two products and most reps have 10 accounts. In a SaaS world with two products, you should be getting paid the same on keeping a customer as getting a customer.

Whoever decided to go cloud only, Omnissa is losing its USP and have to compete with Microsoft more than ever. Not sure what the management team is expecting for the product "Workspace ONE" in future.

All of the leadership. They are not worth the steam off my pi-s. If they all had one brain cell between them, it would die of loneliness.

I'm wondering why KKR is so slow

Coz they are hands off for now. When they take over you would know.

I'm wondering why KKR is so slow to react to our obvious leadership deficit. I heard that when the PE owners took over control of Citrix they swiftly fired most of the leadership team and reorganized the remainder. Then they cut the employee headcount and explained in great detail to the people who stayed exactly what the plan was to turn around the company ASAP. Maybe that approach won't work now for Omnissa, but perhaps it would reduce the perpetual stress of not knowing the real end game.

I dont agree on blaming product leadership. Yes we are severely behind but this is the result of no investment, wiping of engineers, and hiring freezes through the journey from VMware to Omnissa. I talk to PMs often and their main issue is lack of resources. Once proper investment starts, it would take a year to get engineers to a competent product level. Its going to be really hard to catch up at this pace.

When we consider what has been accomplished since KKR assumed ownership of our EUC business unit, I think their person managing the Omnissa turnaround should be fired. KKR appears clueless, given what has happened thus far. I'm unimpressed.

Product leadership should be at the top of KKR's list. And now most of the old sales leadership has been purged, marketing should be next on their list of underperformers. We can't expect sales to meet their revenue goals with the current CMO's leadership.
