Blood bath comes last 2 weeks of February… middle management is being hit this time just as bad as the individual contributors… they sacked 33% of the execs to set the tone… if you make it to March, things will settle down… Accounting and IT are gonna get butchered… there’s going to be a big change in the asset team reporting structure… the “stated” goal is 10% - 15% reduction in workforce but also looking to cut 25% of total G&A dollars… Field personnel expected to skate by for a change… Legacy CPE folks will be spared because Change of Control still applies up to a year if let go… The old Apache is now dead, RP would have lost his mind, even SF would have intervened… JC is just placating investors while MM is ki-ling this company…

Cuts in IT was correct. How is accounting unaffected? Twice the staff they need. BH sure must be magic for JC or SR. I don’t get it. Why did they put her beneath BR? Or is Round 2 coming??

I’m not sure that anyone, except for the very top layer is safe. To all those that will be affected in the coming weeks, may god bleed and sustain you. Just remember that it is only a job and you are much more that what number some rando manage puts next to your name at ratings time. It sounds cliché, but your value as a human isn’t defined by which seat you sit in at work, what your salary is or who you work for.

Middle management (directors / managers) are the ones who decide which contributors are let go. They will not fire themselves. Even though there are plenty that are really poor leaders or managers. That level will stay intact. May be one or two will go as a retiree.

The reason we are now working Mondays in the office is so they can let us go on Presidents’ Day. They have been planning this for a while. Monday, bloody Monday.

Prob on a Friday so they don’t have to tell people in person
