TA's were previously let go - I was one of them.
it's very difficult to tell if it will be you or not, unless you're an LA. Don't try to solve an unsolvable equation. If I had to do over again, I would have gotten my resume, cover letter, and Linked In very up to date way beforehand. I would have started to "war plan" scenarios like am I willing to relocate? How much less am I willing to accept? What companies/sectors would I want to focus my search on? The last thing you want to do is try to focus on all of this when you're in scramble mode. Also, it's almost always easier to find an equivalent job with a job.
There are companies out there that have never or very rarely have laid people off. I'm focusing on one right now.
Doesn’t matter. What matters is if your FnF objective is met.
Are you in trouble? Why do you ask? Probably because you're an id--t.
With the competitiveness and significant number of HTHD employees within Model e it is indeed a challenge to maintain a meet/meet. But the talent is so good right now I would estimate there are very few lower than meet/meet if any. That is one reason I am passionate about working in Model e, you get to work with the best in the company.
Doesn’t matter. What matters is what organization you are in. ICE powertrain was gutted in 2022. Didn’t matter your PR rating present or how many TA’s. Farley targeted this group as he wanted to go full EV. White males were also targeted.
A lot of employees are going to get a "Met". I've learned to live with it.
are you bound to the company, H1B
do you cost very much
do you su-k up enough to your boss
can someone in India do your job at 1/10 the cost
now flip a coin, if tails comes up you are gone
Yes previously TA were laid off, and that su-ked to hear. But, if you have any worry about getting laid off I hope you have a contingency plan and are financially secure enough in case a sudden loss in income. In the end worry will not stop it from happening, so it's better to be prepared than caught off guard.
Yes.
Many Top Achievers were laid off in 2022. No one. No one is safe.
Unfortunately there were many that got below expectations at mid year and I would be concerned for any of those that got below again for final. No certainty for what may happen to those folk, but your leadership is sending you a message that change is needed....
no. now log off and go enjoy the weekend
