I think she will do great. Yes, she's long service, but she has held many positions and has not forgot where she came from. Let her be cut throat, we have a lot of dead weight in this company, getting paid a lot of $$$.
Finally some who cares about running a business vs coaching " The Greeting or Hello " if you are not able to hire that.... your store needs to close
Same scenario different players.
She will be fine in her new role because she is reporting to a finance leader under whose leadership a $150 million financial error occurred. He also needs to go. She will help to clean house, as some store leaders will be unable to deal with her and will leave, which is what your company is hoping for. Remember, there are 150 stores closing; some of those leaders will be able to replace them. Good luck to you all.
Can you explain why you think this way?
Wrong choice and the business has not improved under her leadership.. this appointment is a scare tactic and culture cleanse.
She has been around a long time. East Coast point of view. Might be time for some tough love. It's time to get with the program or leave. Macy's is in survival mode and needs to change quickly or go out of business. Sorry to be blunt. The West Coast stores always think they are special and need to be babyed. We are all in this together.
Sadly, the the west... or anywhere... if you don't like her style, you will be gone quick. BC doesn't adjust, you do... or you get gone...
I hear that she is all about the numbers and care not much about people. She will have to adjust her style because it will not work out here in the west coast.
I am praying for all of you… hold on, going to be a tough ride.
Yuck and cut thorat
