Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

So many people are leaving

I can't blame them, considering what a mess this place has become over the past several years. I'd happily join them if I could find another job. Honestly, I'd love to know where everyone is going since I can't seem to find anything that pays the same. If anyone is willing to share, please do.

I left because the culture was so toxic and the fact that in the last six years, I didn’t get a single pay increase. I know of quite a few people that got laid off this week and I feel for them. But I know the fact that I’m no longer there, my mental health has been so much better.

That is the hard part, with unemployment so low, the hiring market isn’t great right now. I know people laid off in the last big one that struggled for months and months to find jobs.

I'm not employed post-layoff yet, but I have seen evidence that some recruiters are seeking out people who are employed by Fossil to attempt to poach them.

So the situation there is getting to be known.

RTOs have been proven to drive away top performers. And other companies are 100% aware of it.

There are a LOT of us feeling your pain. My observation since the first of the year is that salaries are going up a bit since last year. I looked at a role that was less than i was making, but after factoring in health care costs, bonus, etc. I would actually be taking home the same. Good luck to you!!
