I was on the fence about leaving, but once again spending my weekend worrying about my job instead of recharging and enjoying myself is all the confirmation I need. I’m too old for this. While the job market might not be ideal, I’ve seen others land good offers. As soon as I find one, I’m out.

Don't spend your career worrying, when it's over it's over. Life is too short to worry about this BS.
Dell was ki-ling me. I was scared to death as one of those 20+ year lifers that everyone hates here. I fought like he-l to keep my job l, but the 3rd consecutive layoff round to hit my team got. Dell was he-l, but I was too scared of the unknown to realize it.
I feel ya! There is already so much in life we have to worry about, having to guess if we are the next one to be laid off every month shouldn’t be one of them.
Double dip
Reach out to your network and have some coffees! Catch up and let people know what you're looking for, if trust them to help you.
Build your skills for the job you want to secure. Be thoughtful in your outreaches to hiring managers.
Give yourself grace. It's tough out there but you can't take anything personally. The more rejections you get, just mean you're closer to a yes. It's just like sales. Treat the jobs like your white space customers.
Best wishes on your search!
Good luck. Remember, unless retiring, never leave a job voluntarily without having a written offer in hand. And be courteous when leaving- you never know who you’ll work with later. The tech community is surprisingly small.
The Best Defense is a Strong Offense. Those words ring true, in every case.
Good luck on your search. I went thru this same scenario a year ago and I'm now happier, earning more $ and working remotely. None of the extra bull $h1t drama and anxiety from constantly looking over my shoulder.
