In the Canada town hall, it was mentioned that target bonus percentages will be decreasing starting 2026. Seems like JG2, 3, and 5 will be cut by 5% and JG7 by 2.5%. Other than the typical Shell PR answer, can anyone spill the tea here?
Also, were bonuses the same as US? Current US structure was 10% at JG5, 15% at JG4, 20% at JG3, 25% at JG2.
I was told repeatedly to promote people in India- not based on merit… just because it keeps our attrition stats higher.

I didn’t realize JG3/2 bonus % were higher in Canada than in the US, so it looks like that is equalized now with JG3 at 20% and JG2 and 25%.
Can confirm 5% cut to JG3, both technical and non-technical, and JG2 technical. The reduction came into effect at the start of this year, so Country Chair’s comment about it starting in 2026 meant that it affects the 2025 bonus that will be paid out in 2026. So bonus target for JG3 is now 20%, down from 25%. JG2 technical is down to 25%, from 30%. No change to JG2 non-technical, which remains at 25%. I believe JG5 bonuses were cut as well, but I don’t know the numbers. Average merit increase across SCAN is 2.5%. We are envious of the merit increase of those in the US.
The only thing that is going on in Canada is DEI communication cards. Gold Creek will take another 8 years to plan
