Not long ago KPF was a good place to work, and they were profitable and contributed 12-15% of Krogers bottom line. Now with a 200 person company wide right-sizing, a full 10% of those whacked came from within the ranks of little ole KPF. Based on who got disappeared I would expect a couple or more of their product lines to also disappear or have less focus, like the Kroger credit card, phone kiosks, and perhaps fraud-plagued gift card sales. I guess the KPF focus becomes family-friendly lottery and sports gambling lol. To those that are left … turn around and look in the mirror … or peak in at the wall board with photos of all the employees in JT office … you may have a target on your back as well. And be ready for 4 days in-office. The grim reaper will want to keep his thumb on you.

KPF laid off all of Marketing, digital Marketing, Credit Card team, Operations team members, Telecom Merchandising. Now they need to hit the bloated Risk team and their worthless HR manager. Things have really never been the same there since JT took over.

This is just the beginning. Volunteer retirement offers will soon go out to those with 25+ years and then restructure will happen shortly after.
Labor is our biggest expense and since they cleaned house at store level not to long ago and the store conditions and market share went down, now they will turn their sights on those full time associates who are not physically bringing in sales or savings like a store associate does. I have seen this multiple times over the years with kroger and this time no one at corporate is safe on this one. They will do it in small sections to get around announcements and stay afloat as they shift workload to other teams until AI can replace associates or laid off associates are replaced with cheaper labor and smaller headcount. Everyone at 1014 vine street, start working on your resume.

100+ in KTD product pillar. Seems we will easily have 1000 laid off across the org.

I've actually been applying for jobs since January and the market is very saturated. Recruiters aren't reaching out/cold calling and the jobs have 100+ applicants. Thanks Don!

How is the procurement team looking? Office in blue ash has about 60 people there. How about the credit division as well?

KTD here, I've also heard pharmacy teams (H&W) are not impacted, but that's all I've heard. Would really like to know the scale of this

The rumer is that General Ofdice is next on the list for layoffs. I am wondering what level of associates will be impacted. Has is namely been managerial level or lower level admins?

Some teams lost approximately a quarter of their FTEs

There were 40 FTEs from KTD that were let go, none in CX or MX though. Also didn’t hear anything on how many contracts were loss. That’s all from Sriram. I’m really hoping this isn’t some anti-DEI move because as a black woman I feel that I’m in that hot seat.

There were pretty major announcements at 84.51 with the combining of KPM and Insights sales teams, KPM CFO, and Head of Kroger Model.

I feel terrible for those impacted... Communication was really poor on the all-hands. "Don't worry about who or how many, it will become evident next week...". I guess RTO mandates weren't getting people people to quit fast enough. My team is not impacted, but we're all searching for new jobs.

I thought they would wait for people to quit, too. Was not expecting this.

Interesting curve ball after RTO mandates. Figured they would just wait for people to quit.

I've seen it mentioned that marketing, personal finances, HR, Training/education, 84.51 marketing roles, and random ACM and admin positions in various areas are impacted. Some in KTD as well. Rumored to be 200+ roles.
