Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

RTO With no pay increase? How about about STRIKE every Friday starting on 03/14 instead?

We all accepted our salaries with a flexible scheduled factored into the equation. Why should they get to demand an extra 5 hours from our managers with no compensation? Why should they get to demand all associates to have an extra day of commuting costs and wear/tear on our vehicles?

Fu-k these greedy executives boosting the share at the cost of our morale, pay, and jobs of our laid off teammates. Enough is enough. We need to organize and strike as one Fiserv until they revert this change or give us all a reasonable salary increase to accommodate the new RTO.

Fu-k you Frank.

All you boomer lapdogs...is your next crusade going to be "RTO...return to outhouses"? Because we used to walk out in the cold of night to have to take a leak, you probably think the price of progress for these fancy indoor bathrooms is too high and we should go back to using a hole in the ground?

You have to laugh at the irony of a "technology" (I use that loosely) company shunning technology. Probably eat with your dirty hands too instead of using silverware.

Oh the boomers are all ruffled because people value their time and flexibility. "Get back to working in the office! And get off my lawn!"

Just because you live a miserable home life and need the office to escape, don't blame it on us. Many were fully remote long before the pandemic. And we were hired under that arrangement.

I hope the sane people go full Peter Gibbons if they have to go in five days a week. Start cleaning fish in your cubicles.

If I had a nice clean office within an 45 min drive I would be more then happy to show up in person 5 days a week.

But that isn't the case. You shut down my local office, not I.

When I moved positions, I DID sign an agreement. The expectation was never set with anyone that this is temporary, there was not a “in a few years they’ll want you back in”. There never was a “don’t relocate outside a reasonable distance from a primary location”. This was all made up as a grand scheme, likely by a consultant, we’ll call them the “Bob’s”. These consultants likely spread like wildfire among the execs in Fortune 500 as a way to boost bottom line. And that is where we are at today. Is anyone surprised this aligns with govt going back to office? FB is trying to earn his name in the political world, and be like them.

"Work from home worked."

Well, luckily for you, if you choose to violate company policy, you'll get to stay home everyday.

I can't believe that there are sc-m that side with the company on this.

We found a better way. Work from home worked.

I can't believe I'm required to show up for work. My employers are obviously monsters. I am a victim!

To add insult to injury, we also found out today the bonus pool is only funded at 85% for those who do still get a “bonus”. Yet every townhall circlej--kis nothing but ‘greatest year ever’. How can it be both greatest year ever & things so bad we can’t fund the bonus pool?

You can't be serious. You're crying because your employer wants you to show up for work? That is literally the most basic part of being an employee.

I'm the original poster and I agree.

Talk to trusted coworkers and ask, "have you been on the layoff.com?" Let's start a dialogue with our teams and see if it gains traction across others.

March 14th Return to Strike. Refer to it as 0314RTS or just RTS. I would like for us to print this out and put them in break areas in our respective offices. I understand fearing retaliation though so start with whispers and let it gain traction to where we stand as one Fiserv like they asked for.

Well….Lets get this going. For this to have an impact this needs to be done by a masses of people.

In order for this to happen we need to have an organized plan of action. Not a bunch of people in here typing out their frustrations with no real intent of following through with a Friday, in-office strike.

We need leadership and action.

I would suggest passing this around and getting the word out to as many of our colleagues as possible and coordinate a date we will all take a Friday sick day. Hopefully that will get the word out and demonstrate our commitment to one another and this cause.

We need to do this to send the beginning dialogue to our upper management that we are ONE Fiserv, and our voice actually can make an impact

The choice is ours…..Ill take the Friday pto. Name the date.

Pre-Covid we WERE in the office 3 days a week. So yes we went from 3 to 5. Incrementally, but that is exactly what happened. Your memory may be selective but ours isn’t.

Those lapdogs are coming in hard shilling for fiserv. Just because you have no family or friends doesn't mean the saved time won't help other people. I live 10 minutes from the office, but I know people who live 1.5 hrs away. They need this job for their livelihood and it doesn't help to make their lives harder. Have some compassion for your fellow man.

This one extra day is adding 1,000 extra miles on my car per year you imbecile. That’s also 1,000 extra miles of gas per year. That is also an extra 52 hours of commute time per year. Come with facts when discussing this if you want your opinion to be respected. We all know this is about getting people to quit. If you are en exec telling yourself you are happy with your job be my guest and stay and rave about how “satisfying” your job is lol. I doubt it otherwise you wouldn’t give a good damn about this site. As for the rest of us, yea we can be angry and point out the idiocy of this bullsh-t. Don’t let these trolls who come on here make you feel different. I don’t care if in office was how it was always done when remote work suited this company they sent out thousands of laptops to get it done and we still made 10% returns with a remote workforce. You will not get rid of the low performers this way. You will get rid of the people who are so good at their job that they have options. You drain your talent and keep the ones you want to get rid of.

I'd consider participating in this if it was organized and included intentional comms.

But the comment about the "wear and tear" argument on vehicles "not holding weight" is is concerning. I hope it isn't indicative of the level of intelligence around here.

Going from 4 days to 5 days is a 25% increase. Tell a client you're going to charge them 25% more and report back.

2nd time I’ve seen someone comment about the extra day of “wear and tear” on your vehicle like please be real lol. It’s not like we went from 3 to 5. I don’t support it but that whole argument just holds no weight.
