TSMC is having a company meeting in the US on the 11th or 12th (some confusion about datetime), and that is anticipated to be in an attempt to counter the tariffs coming the following week, by making some kind of big announcement.

Probably to announce more future fab modules, which of course means nothing till they exist.

Speculation is that it might be something involving Intel. They previously said they did not want to buy any Intel fabs, because TSMC fabs are standardized to a different design, but maybe they will buy and retrofit some of the Intel fabs, to more quickly increase US production.

Intel chips are assembled & packaged outside US. Some are manufactured outside US. Will they get the tariffs?

America is NOT going to suffer if we don’t have Intel chips. When is the government going to figure out that Intel doesn’t build the chips we actually need.

Try Feb. 12th right after Chinese New Year is over. The economy is already collapsing, the domino just hasn't hit you yet.

@ag+1 Choose your flavor of popcorn carefully, because some of it may be about to go bad, very bad.
