Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Done? Start fresh ?

Is the blood bath complete? Didn’t noticed any adjustments to sales floor staffing. Are we exempt from the changes?

Was told my area will lose positions permanently but only when people quit, no layoffs. Also find it interesting we let go of so many seasonals, but everyday I'm going around the store, I see AST showing around a new sales associate.

We had positions added to our location but I believe displaced colleagues from closing stores are taking those spots.

No cuts this year aside from the store closures. If colleagues from those on the non- go forward list chooses not to relocate to another store provided with an opening. Then they will be provided a payout based on tenure with the company.

There’s actually going to be a focus on talent retention and staffing levels; although, I feel our hands are slightly tied by HR driving the pay raises which have been terrible compared to inflation lately. We will see if that continues in a few months.

Big changes, but through attrition. You will start noticing throughout the year as the staffing level gets smaller and smaller because stores cant replace colleagues when they leave.
