What the heck??!! Citi Promoted More Than 8500 Employees

These people do whatever.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Citigroup promoted more than 8,500 workers as of January 1 as part of its year-end process, the bank said in a statement on its website on Wednesday.

"This is in addition to the nearly 23,000 Citi colleagues who were promoted throughout 2024 as they took on new roles to grow their careers and drive Citi’s future success," the company wrote.

Most were butt lickers. Some Citi did not want to lose - probably hired in the past couple of years. It I the way it is, corporations are a sh-t place to be. Backstabbing and fear of losing someone drives everything.

I am sure it was id--ts they promoted and butt kissers. In the 9 years I was there saw people get promoted that could not find their way out of a paper bag.

I feel like I'm deceived by my manager, he told me the promotion was very limited this year, something does not add up.

If you are promoted, you must have licked boots good. We are not getting promoted for excellence but for what? So confused!

Are we supposed to be angry that Citi does not promote people, or that it does promote people? I've lost track.

I got promoted. My years of hard work at Citi has been very rewarding. I busted butt to get a 1/1. Slackers or those who pursue silly woke notions of work/life balance (the 3/3’rs) will never get promoted.

Shareholders like myself also admire my effort.

$hittybank is counting and including the Svckers who applied for one-level up internal jobs, which means they quit their previous job and accepted a new one inside $hittybank.

The 8500 or 23,000 are deceptive and fictitious numbers because $hittybank is including the paltry 1% of people who got In-Seat Promotions and including it in the grand total.

Probably 99% of any hard numbers are transfers to a new one-level up internal job, Not In-Seat promotions.
And $hittybank permits Only One-Level up job transfers. For example, you can Not be SVP and then get hired internally for a MD job. Same with AVP, VP. The only way you can skip a level is by quitting $hittybank and get a job externally for 2-Levels up.

So if you're a SVP in $hittybank, you can get hired in JPMC as a MD.
