Foundry working on some kind of revised ranking methodology, to enable them to reduce headcount down to the metrics GF already has (typical foundry HC).

There have been some rumors about how the metrics will work but expect it to be a surprise anyway, unless a person already knows that they are not very productive.

Intel and GF discussed a merger in Pat’s early days before trying to buy Tower instead. So I think this combination is quite plausible.

The GF CEO was fired. Hope he does not become Intel ceo. Intel has no future if led by GF’s just fired CEO.

Can not have failed people come from GF.

Full foundry / GF merger - not likely.
Intel could merge/sell all but the latest nodes, though, to focus execution on the latest and greatest.

Not happening so soon but maybe when the time is right spin IFS into a merger with GF, backed by US sovereign wealth fund.
