Severance package

Anyone know what severance package was offered this week? Is it the same as usual?

"Yes, if anyone can confirm specifics of UK severance, that would be appreciated."
A jar of Marmite and a bottle of Lucozade for each year of service!

Can someone from UK who has already left via WFR confirm what package they got please. I know you had to sign a NDA, but simply answering this question anonymously (using a non-Dell owned device) is safe enough?

Is the current severance package:

  1. 4 weeks pay per year of service capped at 1 years salary?
  2. 2 months pay plus 1.6 months for each year of service (also is it capped)?
  3. none of the above?

Asking because I'd like to think they offer everyone in the same country the same package (they probably don't though).

I think in Ireland it was capped at 2 years pay. Maybe it's different now. Haven't heard of anyone in Ireland affected yet.
It's just a matter of time I guess.
The morale is terrible as we are all anticipating a 1.1

UK used to be 4 weeks pay x number years of service - all capped at a maximum of a years pay. So someone with 5 years tenure would have received 20 weeks pay. Based on previous reply, Dell must have improved their offer recently (not sure i believe that they would do that).

OK, so for Ireland then, if one has 5 years of service, package will be 2 months + 5×1.6=8 months? Total 10?
And for UK it's 2 + (5×1.4)=9 months?
Not bad I would say.

For UK package, an earlier reply stated "it’s years of service x1.4 modifier". What is multiplied by 1.4? Is it a weeks pay, a months pay?

Will there be any people in Ireland getting the famous Business Update?
Also does anyone know what severance will be paid to Irish workers.
I'm hearing different things.
I'm just trying to be prepared if it's going to be me next. Noone is safe

Uk, it’s statutory plus if you sign a compromise agreement and go nice and quietly, it’s years of service x1.4 modifier, a % of your IBP and any unused holiday.
The modifier for us in Ireland is x1.6 and it varies widely elsewhere in Europe.

In the US, it's 2 months plus 1 week per year up to 16 years

Hope it stays the same. Would su-k to be left go and get less than people gone a month ago, especially for people with 15 years plus
