Thread regarding Phillips 66 layoffs

Soap is NOT a LUXURY.

This is in response to below email. These types of cut backs are extreme and last time I checked OSHA says: Employers must maintain restrooms in a sanitary condition. Restrooms must provide hot and cold running water or lukewarm water, hand soap or similar cleansing agent and warm air blowers or individual hand towels (e.g., paper or cloth). It's embarrassing to claim I work here after that email. Here are two suggestions: please take an email etiquette class and do better, second, if P66 wants to go aggressive with the cut backs, incorporate one or two more days of remote work.

Kitchen Supply Shrinkage: Commercial Floors, As mentioned before Office Supplies and Kitchen Supplies are meant for our floor only. Please do not send coworkers from another floor to stock up on these items, and definitely please do not stocking items at your desks. Items like paper plates, plasticware, dish soap and hand soap are luxury items and are purchased at the expense of the businesses on both sides of the 5th floor and for the use of those folks only. I restocked the below drawer this past Friday around 12:00 pm and today around the same time, the drawer was down to almost nothing. There is no way that many people ate breakfast & lunch at work today. This drastic depletion has happened several times over the last several months and is not acceptable. Starting later this week we will be restocking these supplies weekly on both sides of the 5th floor bridge. We are asking for your help to preserve this luxury. If shrinkage like this continues to be an issue we will temporarily pause the purchase of these items and resume at a later date.

You joke about changing your oil, but I've long thought you could drop a receptacle in the parking lot at each refinery for people to drop off oil. Once a week go vac truck it into the slop system. Teensy bit of feedstock and environmental local good will. Feels like a win-win.

Isn’t it interesting that four years ago, quarterly corporate expense was around $230 million and today, post-transformation quarterly corporate expense is about $350 million? I’m eagerly waiting for the day one of these analysts ask go go this question. I doubt the delta is due to paper plates……

Change your oil in the parking lot. Run it back thru the crude tower. New employee perk coming to 9/80 days.

Go green and reuse toilet paper. Builds carbon credits. Sounds like a bright McKinsey idea.

ELT should have cut the true amount of staff needed to save $3 Billion in from 2021 to 2023 and never started BT. Consultants would not have been needed and all left would have the choice and true attrition would have settled. This way all left employees could really enjoy the heritage P66 benefits.

I remember the great idea of use your own coffee cup to save the world! I mean P66 is no longer buying paper cups, plates & plasticware for staff. Next, bring your own toilet paper, paper towels and fold up hunting gear.
