Why does the company hire offshore despite quality

Why is this even a question? Didn't Elon explain to you all how it works?
Greed, that’s why and no common sense. Leadership has let offshore infiltrate QA, incoming correspondence, no boundaries. Onshore is basically pushing paper all day trying to get offshore to correct their errors while pulling their hair to try to get them to even understand, when they say they understand they mess it up again. That group gets fired and we start all over again with a new batch of offshore. Insanity.
Even if you’ve written the user story PERFECTLY- they have the reading comprehension of a 2 year old so it really doesn’t matter. I enjoy writing things briefly and putting them through hoops they don’t understand
Innovation and creative thinking was born here, It's a different mindset dealing offshore. It's a factory. If you don't have a user story written perfectly, you're sc--wed.

they believe if you put 1000 monkeys in a room for long enough you'd get Shakespeare. theyre wrong. the innovation that you see with domestic employees that actually care about the company can not be measured by simple salary comparisons and no matter how many offshore they hire they will never make up for it. sad how incredibly stupid and corrupt management is in the US. they must be getting paid off to be this blind
I’m speaking from experience at a prior job several years ago so it might have changed, but salaries were like 1/8th of what they pay here for an “equivalent” position. So mgmt thinks who cares if the work is half as good, I’m still coming out on top. I think it’s terrible for the long term health of the company but for many of them that will be someone else’s problem.
That's standard.
Again look at where leadership came from. Were those companies offshoring? There's your answer. I assume you're talking IT. The cost of an onshore contractor versus offshore is significant. Most offshore were trained in agile. Is quality sacrificed for the sprint time? Yes.
When was the last time you applied to CVS? Their application all say ethnicity 'XYZ (United States of America)' now.
With HR changing the application it appears they are in favor of US citizens applying.
Low IQ, inability to innovate.
