Does anyone know whether promotions are happening in 2025? I remember hearing in the latest town hall something about "the conditions need to be right" for promotions to happen but wasn't sure if I heard right.

They talk about the Schwab discount.....yes once when the firm treated employees well now the firm should pay a premium as there is little to no concern for employess. Salaries have fallen behind inflation and Morale has never been as low as it is now. Great job Wurster appropraite name for a guy that is in my opinion the Worst following another horrible CEO Walt....
I worked for 2 teams during TDA transition sometimes at 2:00 AM I don't think I will be promoted I think 2.5% pay increase to keep up with inflation is all we might get if we are lucky.

I don’t see you giving any helpful information to combat “misinformation”… some of us have watched one or two terribly underwhelming people get promoted while we “do the work of the level above us” for years.

Promotions never happen at Schwab. Or anywhere in corporate America really. There is always more money they can use for buybacks but not promotions. There are over 12K employees at the Senior Manager level, and like 1200 Directors. So yeah, most of us will never make that jump.
Recently they claimed it was the Colorado pay transparency laws that required them to post every job, even for promotions. Then they said they had a “preferred candidate” in mind. But that’s all you get.
