Family member wanted to get a Mach E. Got all the way to the table and found out the Mach E doesn’t qualify for the 7500 tax credit because of where it’s manufactured/battery chemistry. Walked away. I wonder how many missed sales there are just like this. Terrible planning on Ford part

Clearly you family member didn't want one THAT bad. Rather they thought they were getting some type of deal with the tax credit.
Why do you need a tax credit to purchase an EV? Don't you feel that saving the planet is worth any cost? Maybe you should shop for an EV that's $7500 cheaper than the mach E. There. Problem solved. You're welcome.
I hope model e shuts down soon before the company goes under. Enough big talk.
This is why changes are coming with the next-gen Model e products. If you cannot make a purchase of a current Ford BEV, be sure to revisit when the new Model e BEV's and their extraordinary available services are out.
