I say great - US has been abusing and taking advantage of Canada for years.

Time for the US gravy train to stop with their abuse of Canada. Let’s makes more money off those US people.

Our governments are now running on platforms to diversify ourselves from the toxic US population that has abused our good nature for years - let’s get those pipelines built to open the other markets and stick it to those US people in the south and make them pay!

Our conservative platforms will ensure that the US is fu---d over soon enough and I can’t wait

That's correct. It costs a lot to retool the facilities to deal with very different products. Potentially hundreds of millions. And while doing it, production is dead. So you'd really have to believe you've lost access to the product before you accepted the cost and the down time needed to do it.

It's bluster. Mostly. A 10% tariff is inconvenient but not enough to spur the transition.
