Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Time to Pay the piper

with all the loans coming due in the next few months Patrick is sc--wed .... I'd say a bankruptcy filing or a fire sale including cable is an absolutely reality. Altice is all over the media for the MSG debacle and has taken a staggering 95% Loss of value since inception you would be an absolute fool to think something isn't coming down the pike

Buy Cablevision and Suddenlink with little money down...mostly debt.
Cut costs and make it look like you did something good for the financials.
Do IPO and then show one or two quarters of good results because you cut costs.
Drahi and friends sell shares, receive one time dividends, make massive amounts of money.
But Sothebys.
Drahi and friends set up off shore vendors and then divert as much Altice USA business to those vendors as possible. Even more severe cost cutting.
Company, employees, customers, stockholders start feeling the pain of severe cost cutting.
Who is left holding the bag? Bond holders, stockholders, customers, employees.
Who is richer than before...Drahi....
Its criminal....

I’m not exactly sure what PD and his little circle are good at other than devaluing their assets. They are very good at that. Altice is the Titanic and their debt is the iceberg, and just like with the real Titanic there is not enough time to turn the ship so the question now is how much damage are we going to see?

I think the finance folks have finally come to realize this guy is nothing but a con artist, a street hu$tler in a $10,000.00 suit. I’ll never understand Wall Street’s fawning over this joker other than the fact they actually believed they could make money off of him. But honestly, how can you listen to him for more than 15 seconds and not know he is nothing but a bull$hit artist? Are the people on WallStreet really that gullible?
