Most of the CEO candidates are asking that the company be downsized prior to their accepting the position.

No one wants to waste time and effort on layoffs right at the start of their tenure.

Performance management metrics have been developed by HR, based on monitoring when people are not at their station or cube, along with keyboard and mouse behavior.

Much better than asking managers who their least favorite people are.

They need employees to like the new CEO is the thing... Axing half the engineering and tech departments again while keeping hr and middle to upper management unscathed isn't going to win motivated productive employees.

When you think you are going to get axed, Intel will bring in the DEI hire that axed the head off a guy in the fab12 cafe, cause he's got skills.

The layoffs will continue with or without a new CEO. Intel is a failed company, they will be sold off in pieces.
