I just learned that we are now eliminating Beauty AC position???? What does this means?

They made a smart financial move eliminating this position. The account coordinators are getting paid to pop up at stores to repeat things you already know (we have to get numbers up!) and then they leave and don’t help you with anything.
Doubt that Macy’s was funding the Dior position(s) so why cut it!?
They eliminated just the Trend Beauty and Dior ones. Trend Beauty was fully funded by Macys hence why they cut it. They can’t compete with Sephora when it comes to those brands. Brands were pulling out and no new ones coming in. The “counter” is no longer the way of beauty and we won’t be able to compete once all the Estee Laudy ladies die off.
A lot of lost jobs that can go back to the store counters.
Which brands are losing them because if it’s all of them that’s a lot of lost jobs
Just wondering, who foots the bill (salary and/or reimbursements) for Beauty Account Coordinator position? Macy’s or the Cosmetic Company brand? If the Cosmetics Company is funding this, it seems that Macy’s eliminating the position is just a “LOSE-LOSE”! One less person at store level to service customers and also associates that is not an expense for Macy’s & also not having this position probably creates additional expenses for both Macy’s and the Cosmetics Company. Again, depending on who is funding this position????
Saves the company $$$ since they are salaried execs. No more mileage reimbursement, meal expenses, travel expenses, phone reimbursement expenses, etc…
They won’t have a job
It’s a glorified counter manager travel job.
