Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Explain this to me

VMware's employee count in LinkedIn were somewhere around 38k before acquisition.
Broadcom's employee count in LinkedIn were somewhere around 20k in the same period.

Now Broadcom's employee count is 60k.

How did this happen?

They are a bunch of AI employees. AI agents assigned to our team. They are virtual employees. They need to be reported to SEC for compliance. We are training them now. They will be productive in 3-6 months. They cost 1% of physical employees.
