Thread regarding RingCentral Inc. layoffs

Layoffs

The company just laid off a bunch of employees after the outage. The layoffs came out of nowhere and with little to no explanation. The managers had no say in the layoffs, and the rumor is that it is the highest paid employees on each team that got let go.

Wonder if it was tied to the outage at all or just another round of layoffs that have been a recurring thing every quarter. Par for the course for RingCentral, give priority to H1B employees (especially Russian speaking ones) and slowly bleed off the rest of the workforce. RingCentral use to value loyalty but that seems to be reserved for the current C suite who keep blundering their way through each decision, quietly reshuffling their ranks to absorb the fallout. Ever since Anand, Mo and the laughably bad launch of RC Video (and the burning of zoom bridge) it’s been on the employees shoulders to absorb the damage. Layoff after layoff. Eventually they’ll RIF enough people that they get to the top and realize the root of the problem.

It seems to align with ANOTHER restructure. This company can’t seem to get it together but is also choosing to make poor decisions.
Over a year ago they RIF’d the only person that I have seen love this company and want to do the best for it. He could have positively impacted the future of this business. The rest of people like to use doctored metrics which don’t show a true state of the business. (Fake revenue numbers that get credited with a penalty to us because they held it and NPS data is so horribly documented making it look like we are doing well) People at companies should be elevated for ethics and being honest with shareholders. I’m assuming someone has something on someone else in the C-suite because what I have seen with executive and high level leadership is disgraceful. Why are they in roles their resume doesn’t support? It’s a disaster and embarrassing to consider them leaders of anything other than failure or poor moral code and they have no desire to change.
I hope auditors really dig into the numbers and what is happening because my coworkers and customers stated many times, the leadership is playing shell games. It’s disgusting and I’m glad I’m gone.
I think for shareholders and the people that remain, the best thing would be for the board to get rid of executives and bring in other better people. That would be the best investment the company would ever make. It won’t happen with Vlad on the board, I doubt.
Still, they should rip the bandaid off and make this a great company again. It will come with a big loss but it will be worse later if things don’t change now. No lie. I’m curious why the SEC doesn’t have an investigation going already.
