Has anyone secured a job with the redeployment group? I have applied to several internal jobs. No one has contacted me back. My last day will be February 6th.

You look at openings on the career page?
I was never able to look at any of the redeployment positions offered through email. Links would not work, to reach them. When the person they assigned to email us, supposedly offering help with redeployment, contacted me and I mentioned the link didn’t work, she apologized, but did not offer any solutions. I agree, smoke and mirrors.
Anyone know if there’s a cut off time for offers on your last day for redeployment?
Redeployment is a joke. They say you are put to the top of the list, but you are there with the hundreds of other people who were let go. I have seen so many applications from my team, and less than 1% found another role. And forget about getting one if you did not get a 5 on your eval. Some on my team applied for over 30 roles with not one interview. I am relieved to not have to guess when my time is coming any longer.
I was laid off in April 2024 and was successfully redeployed before my official last day. I know of 3 others who also found internal positions. So not impossible but it doesn’t seem like a majority of people are redeployed.
They are firing you to save money. Less than 1% get redeployed I heard from a manager. Start applying to 50 jobs daily and network. Good luck, as this job market su-ks and most jobs in America are going offshore.
The usual game is restructure teams a couple weeks before the Qtr bloodletting. I usually get rearranged every 12 to 18 mos. This time was a little different after the restructure the team gave up a couple scalps but I presumed the ki-l list was set at the time of the restructure. If you land on the layoff list you are done. Its smoke and mirrors since if you were not a keeper they will not lift a finger to help you land somewhere.
When I was laid off - myself & 4 others did find placements. You gotta apply & interview. You will be prioritized for interviews but the competition is rough.
I personally have taken over 30 redeployment team members over the last few years. It’s a real thing and yes you usually have to interview.
You have to check every "required qualification" to get an iota of chance to get an interview with the hiring manager, who probably has at least 20 interviews lined up for the one position... good luck. It's a good of chance as applying somewhere else.
When I was laid-off many of the recruiters went on vacation. Which made me wonder do they have a genuine intention to keep you, or it is just a condescending action so somebody can feel better doing the dirty job for the untouchable executives?
Redeployment isn't a real thing. Smoke and mirrors just like everything else around here. One slap in the face after another. Meanwhile, our fates decision makers are going around on bravo congratulating each other. It's sick.
They offer no assistance, just faking it. then you see on sites such as glass door where they state they assist all workers impacted by layoffs... but it is just a lie.
they say that to just appear like they’re helping when they don’t give af
