What’s the process like for severance? Do they take the 2 month of medical out of the pay or is that included?

The unemployment eligibility depends on what state you are in. The severance will disqualify you only for the week the payment is made in most states.
It took 2-3 weeks for severance to hit for me. There's no medical taken out for the two months. It's a little weird, but your 2 month medical is just covered if you want it. Be aware that unemployment will deny payment if they become aware of your severance from Dell.
