Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Did anyone else see the cancelling black history month email?

Either on accident or purposefully, someone sent out an email chain between directors about cancelling black history month and how bad the optics would be if people figured out what they were doing

Hilarious that someone leaked it, major props

@1dv+1jjwgcg92, You also do your part in incriminating yourself with the whole surveillance-feedback loop game while trying to troll/derail threads. Real Winner!

I do my part by bringing back language such as "slap me some skin!" and calling my co-workers "Jive turkeys".

Unfortunately Truist IS being bullied. Ask leadership about anything with the word diversity in its name and what they are doing. Ask them to publicly stand up for BIPOC, LGBTQ, veterans, disabled people, etc. ..:: they won’t. They are backing down and unfortunately it’s all going away. Charlotte just happened to see the discussion about black history month so they had to keep moving forward full speed with it.

I wonder if Elon’s DOGE kids are AVPs?

Your summary is not an honest interpretation and you know it's not lol, first you say it was never being cancelled and that it was just about flyer approvals, and then you pivot to: The only reason they were trying to cancel it is because of Trumps Anti-DEI efforts

Also yes I think everyone is aware that it is because of the Trump admin, it's just funny how quickly the caring purple purposeful façade vanishes at a moment of scrutiny

The email said absolutely nothing about canceling Black History Month events. The “head” simply sent an email to her directs asking them not to publish event flyers before she reviewed them. A teammate replied to her email and accidentally included the Charlotte teammate distribution.

I'm sure this is due to Trump‘s new DEI stance and the pressure his administration is putting on the private sector to follow suit!!! The criticism here is misdirected.

Recognition and marketing for Black History Month was plastered all over emails, lobbies, elevator signage so pretty obvious that Truist is not being bullied!

If any of you knew “TF” and her family you would know how ridiculous this thread is. You should all be ashamed of yourselves and don’t deserve to work at TRUIST!! (if you even do)!

Leave out the names. Use initials instead. Easy. Even the person always mentioning AVP could do it.

Still got the email chain saved along with quite a few other people, but not sure how you'd like to go about seeing the evidence lol, post will be taken down if names are mentioned

But the email chain was between the Head of Corporate Programs and Hospitality Services and three Directors of Corporate Real Estate Workplace Experience

Canceling Black History Month. “Care” the Truist way. Will really amp up the purposeful performance.

The benefit: saving money.

The con: Straight to the undeserving bonus of someone who recently get hired and leaves several months later.

Cancelling AVP promotions too, or just DEI?

All DEI practices at Truist will be canceled soon. Hiring, BRG groups, targeting certain racial minorities/women, recognizing certain months as “black history”, “pride”, “disability awareness”, etc. All will be canceled. Will be the new norm in corporate america and society as a whole.
