A company that only keeps a skeleton crew and operates at maximum efficiency supposedly fired all the high performers and only kept the losers? Is that what you b-ms who got canned keep telling yourselves? LOL.

Peak cope.

Performance has nothing to do with keeping your job. Ask all the high performers that got canned. Whoever was hired or paid to help determine how to reduce headcount should either be fired or sued. Anyone still there is simply a survivor that is likely not very good at their job.

Depends on your performance

The system is so far gone. Irredeemable. It has to just crash and burn. Save up some food for the coming tariff mayhem.

No prizes for guessing what the CIA top secret project called "Oracle" became. The CIA project called Lifelog became Facebook. Google, Microsoft. Palantir is openly a CIA project. There is no obfuscation now. Big tech is just a way to siphon off money for the CIA. Private rockets anyone? Starlink used in Ukraine war. Stargate. Just do your work and take your bread crumbs. The high caste leaders have zero morals. You are just a number. Survive and thrive.

2 million government employees were offered a buyout/redundancy option by Trump. Things are going to get so much more crazy. All government funding was suspended for almost everything around the world.

Deportations started. Guantanamo Bay being cleaned to house more illegals.

Tariffs coming this Saturday. 25% on Mexico and Canada. This is how most goods are flowing into the US now.

You have seen nothing yet.

Twitter X and other experiments during a zero interest rate regime.

Whatever the reasons to buy Twitter and fire all its workforce. This narrative of super efficiency. Department of Government Efficiency DOGE. The experiments funded by zero interest rates. The cost of money was zero. In Europe and Japan the cost of money was negative. The PE funds got paid interest for taking loans in EU and Japan.

The narratives of hardware + software = stable revenues and heaven. Whatever the narratives are. They are just narratives. The market wants narratives. Ultimately the companies are destroyed. The customers suffer. The customers will find alternatives. Some employees will just retire prematurely.

Facebook and Google have resumed their layoffs. They are making so much profits supposedly and the stock prices are at all time highs supposedly. Nothing makes sense anymore. Life has become a narrative. Whatever you are told is bulllshitttt.

Save money and live to fight another day. There is a lot of cleanup of the finanancial system needed before things start improving again.

VCF-9 will keep the customers paying and the investors at bay. Find your answer in that as to whether it will be perfect or not.

It sounds like VCF9 will be perfect and no longer needs engineering to fix bugs, PSO, or support ?

When is VCF 9 being released?

As another poster said, VCF 9 will be the end for most that are left. Broadcom Won’t need sales, marketing, training. Just ask Symantec folks that tread the same path. Look outside starting now.

When VCF9 releases, a massive layoff will shortly follow. Count on it.

Unfortunately no one has a crystal ball. Just make sure you keep your skills up to date and have savings in the bank. Don’t expect loyalty from Broadcom. If they can find a cheaper way of doing your job they will. It’s a venture capital company so it’s only about the money. If you are finding it too stressful waiting for the axe to fall I suggest you find something else. Also the redundancy payouts going forward are unlikely to be the same as previous as they only promised to maintain that for a year. (I think that’s expired now). Good luck!
