For a ride on the AI hype bandwagon and all the performance bonuses. Don't over think it. Opportunity for short term cash grab.

It makes sense that Neri would be tweeting his congratulations to Trump and contributing to inauguration fund or whatever. He has got to get on Trump's good side and certainly not pi-s him off. Because of this merger (and the Trump DOJ support of it) and future mergers, Neri must su-k up to Trump and the Trump DOJ. This also goes for Google, Microsoft, Tesla, Apple, etc. All these companies leaders are spinless and will not stand up to Trump. It's really sickening.

I just don’t understand HPE’s motive for this acquisition except for a few reasons:

  1. Tax write offs
  1. Redemption from Aruba failures and Aruba is actively bleeding cash flow
  1. Patent and IP stockpiling
  1. Temporary investor cash out
  1. Tired of hearing their customers say that they’re not using Aruba for their network infrastructure when they purchase HPE hardware

I refuse to believe that HPE has mutual and symbiotic benefits when an acquisition occurs.

What’s surprising is that the EU already gave them the green light. So the DOJ and FTC must have seen this as a real threat to our local economy, which is something HPE should have done their homework on. Sort of embarrassing to get this far and then being told that’s suddenly violating antitrust laws. Some condition of the acquisition agreement must have changed at the last second for the government to raise a red flag.

This a lifeline for HPE. Together they will fail. HPE will sink from the Juniper declining business. Except Mist they have nothing that too is not growing and loosing to Cisco plus it is the lowest margin business in Juniper

Yeah, and that dunderhead Antonio failed.. DOJ sues HPE and Juniper.. This will cost the company millions, all the while, losing marketshare to Cisco. Cisco is already foaming at the mouth.. Fire the entire C Suite...
