Take market cap, subtract value of net assets, subtract $53 b, and you end up in a deep hole. That's negative goodwill from sh---y decisions made by sh---y management.
he just finished putting all his buddies up one level and topped it off with moving his trading friends all over the place including new executive committee slots
some guy from trading is now head of AI with zero experience lol. licking boots is in style clearly.
anyway the way i hear it he wants to list on the NYSE and play a bigger game. not sure how he does that when he we have no assets but ok. big man on campus
😂
Much more likely this narcissistic EC wants to conquer a struggling BP through acquisition…ending a decades-old rivalry and solidifying a strong #1 spot on the London Stock Exchange.
The next 10 years of culture integration of two dysfunctional organizations should be fun!
But we have plenty of DEI senior leaders who have gone from JG3 to SVPs in under 10 years- delivering zero value except holding meetings to talk about micro-inequities (never heard that term until Shell), CRT, and systemic racism. Sure, Exxon would love to inherit these “leaders.”
@da+1jjtk083k nice try Diddy. Exxon has a better brand than Shell, both with retail customers and with investors.
the brand is the most valuable asset shell has! you can’t act like you understand this company if you don’t know that!
What do we have that Exxon would want. Portfolio pantry is bare, no technology advantage, no highly skilled workforce...
As an American Shell Oil employee, I worked daily for many years with Shell London employees, from staff level to senior management. Was seconded to Europe, working there for a number of years.
I found the Brits’ distain for Americans was never far below the surface with derisive, insulting comments slipping out frequently. Arrogance and self-importance was on regular display.
Americans are far from a perfect society and I really don’t like a lot of US cultural aspects. But I’d really smile at the prospect of the Shell Brits forced to integrate into an American staffed and managed Company like XOM.
Talley ho, mfs!
XOM does not want anything to do with the snobby neo-colonialism, empire mentality of the Brits.
More likely we’ll get stuck with BP.
