This is all a charade! Tony Spring has nothing new to try or offer. There is going to be another RahRah jamboree! Macy's still pretends to be a "high end" store. Look at the quality of its managers! All the great ones have left. The managers can't solve simple problems. They stand there and reoeat the same scripted lines. Jut listen to the announcements at the end of the day.

There will be a script on how to handle customers who question the new culture, D&I (DEI) stance, and new dress code. It’s part of the Bold New Chapter.

It’s basically another new cultural mission statement they are rolling out. They do this every year. The higher ups sit in their offices and push their pencils trying to come up with something that’s not as redundant as the year before. Since they are going away with DEI, they need to come up with a new strategy to offset. Every manager has to be there bc it affects them and their teams so they need to get the information so then they can go and share with their individual teams. This is nothing new. I’ve been with the company over 10 years and this is what they do every year at the start of Q1.
