Thread regarding BMC Software Inc. layoffs

It’s coming…

You may have been told which side of the split you’re headed but it doesn’t mean you’ll actually get there.

What is the “redundancy package”

From everyone I talk to they're hoping they get the redundancy package, even though it's not at all generous. People are just sick of the "growth and focus" BS, and blaming the sales people for the lack of sales when everyone knows it's the execs who haven't invested in product development and marketing who are to blame.
BMC is a low growth company. The mainframe BU hasn't had a new customer in years, and existing ones are not putting new applications on the mainframe. The only growth is through mergers and acquisitions in existing customers.
Control-M is an old product in a no-growth market. ServiceNow has encroached on workflow automation and the only growth is through yearly price and capacity increases.
The BMC Helix company split is an admission that the ITOM product is uncompetitive.

don't really matter - been with BMC 5 years, and had zero pay rise. time to look elsewhere

Yep. People are already dropping like flies and rightfully so. That’s what happens when justifiable FUD spreads like wildfire.

It also happens when we keep consistently getting told that we’re performing far above expectations, but are also told that raises are out of the question, bonuses are tied to metrics that are set to purposely be unachievable, layoffs become more brutal year over year, and we generally don’t reap the rewards of success. All hail our KKR overlords and investors 😍😍😍
