Banking is the most impacted industry when it comes to Gen AI. So calling AI a hype is not entirely accurate. We still need human in the loop, but not as many people as we do now. As models become more powerful, cheaper, and efficient, the impact to human labor will be greater. Its the great equalizer. Its on us to reskill and become competitive to stay relevant. Managers will play their usual games to save their positions through politics. Skilled workers need to reskill and become competitive in the job market.

TBH, AI is overhyped regression on a massive scale - nothing fundamentally ground-breaking - and yes, banking is full with people who do not understand anything but are relatively good at hiding it and su-king the big bucks. No transferable skills whatsoever.
