Customers know that Broadcom is not investing in Symantec technology. Customer's are moving to more innovative technology (Palo Alto, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, etc.) It's typically viewed as an outdated 90's brand in the security world. Would you bet your CISO reputation and career on it?
Because it su-ks
Symantec Endpoint Protection? It's like bringing a butter kn--e to a cyber gunfight. Companies are ditching it faster than outdated hardware. When your 'security' solution is more of a liability than an asset, it's time to upgrade to something that can actually keep up with modern threats. In the fast-paced world of cybersecurity, SEP is the equivalent of dial-up internet—painfully slow and hopelessly outdated.
Because customer CISOs want to migrate to Crowdstrike Falcon. It's has better brand value and probably a better product as well.
Also, Crowdstrike is probably wooing them with discounts to migrate off of SEP.
