Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like most people who were laid off were given two weeks before their final day. This means we won’t feel the full brunt of these cuts for another few weeks. And by “full brunt,” I’m referring to increased workloads, lower morale, and everything else that comes with it. I'm not looking forward to one bit.

At least you have a JOB
Six consecutive lay offs at Landmark. Can anyone name one action taken by national leadership leading to or promoting better patient care, productivity or efficiency? It has always impressed me how well the Brodericks and the Conrads are so well aware of what the problems are to deliver care, but have never done anything about it. The lay offs are not part of any restructuring process, they’re the restructuring process. How many markets have closed shop?
Most people with a separation date of 2/6 stop working immediately
My experience with them is that they have no operational plan. I am not convinced they know what anyone does. I don’t know if it’s just their personal aspirations or it’s the only thing they know, but they are very thorough on leadership reorganization charts. So it’s really a daily discovery of what work and tasks are no longer being done and every week leaders do “shout-outs” to someone for keeping our patients needs met by “stepping up”, because our patients are the heart of our work. That takes you up to the next round of layoffs. Rinse and repeat.
CTMs and SCMs from SICC and preservice were immediate. One minute you were chatting and manager suddenly responding without of office message and no return date. There is no morale to talk about.
They’re going to start they’re restructuring with the remaining department and teams in February through March, watch all the job openings that are going to be listed just to show the company is “growing” but every single one will be a ghost job
Most of my dept and team that were cut were given about 30 minutes to collect what they needed from their computers (timecard retirement info etc)--but were not allowed to reach out to anyone to say goodbye, hand off work etc. It was immediate.
The lower morale part is already here
