Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

An experiment in ranking. Let us see how fair it is.

I am going to try a little experiment for the ranking cycle this year. I am NRE and cannot be piped only pcp ed so I am safe. Normally I put a bunch of stuff on my pds mote than is needed really. I choose five or more knowledgeable others too. I have done all of this and done extra work in years past. I have only managed a good or ni ranking for this. This year I am going to put down just the minimum work accomplishments and only three knowledgeable others. I want to see if I get NSI this year. I don t think I will because of my age but we will see. The black box sharp will decide. I have improved my section and implemented technical improvements so let us see if it is truly based on performance. I have held my tongue and be nice and accommodating to the overlords. Others in my group don't talk or do any work so I should not be the lowest performer. I will post back the outcome in july or aug.

After NSI/PIP's from 2020, we have no poor performing employees left that need to be on a Performance Improvement Plan.

2020 - NSI 8+ %
2021 - NSI 8+ %
2022 - NSI 8+ %
2023 - NSI 8+ %
2024 - NSI 5 to 8%

I feel sorry for employees that have to play this game. I am ready to go anytime. I don't need any more of exxon's money. I will stay until I have had enough or I am piped. True freedom from this place is having an income stream outside of exxon. My upper management knows they cannot control me. I have a business and rental properties that bring in almost as much as my exxon salary. So for you kool aid drinkers and squid game contestants I hope you get what you think is at the end of the rainbow. I see the young ones foaming at the mouths for the chance of advancement. The supervisors hanging that carrot above their noses. All the young can think about is ascension through the CL ranks. They don't see the pitfalls ahead pips, pi----g off the bosses, and not fitting in. I really don't care what my ranking is because when you are old they force you down. So strive for outstanding or what ever the highest is and good luck and good riddance. I myself do not put much effort in my PDS or what ever they call it now because it doesn't matter anymore. Good luck in the games players.

I welcome mediocrity and you and exxon can stick RSUS UP YOUR A SSSES. I am sh it according to exxon. I am wealthy and do not need any more money or raises. So exxon and everyone else can kiss my a ss.

You will lose any RSUs you would otherwise receive and any salary treatment that would apply to your pension. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

The rankings are determined by how well your boss likes you and how much he is able to sell you to the other foreman during the two minutes they get to talk about you during their annual meeting.
