Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Rehired at CVS

Has anyone who was laid off, received an offer to come back to CVS? If yes, was it for more money or less? Did you take the offer?

You have to wait for it to be public, or hope the hiring manager knows you. You can't apply to an internal posting since you're no longer an employee. Reach out to your former coworkers.
So sorry that they didn't let you finish 5 more years. I know a few people who have been with CVS or Aetna for a long time. Looks like if you are near retirement, they are looking to save $

Are you able to apply for a position that is an internal posting only? If so, how? I was in a Sr Manager role and would like to return as I have less than 5 years to retirement and 30+ years of experience. I much prefer to return vs a position somewhere else if possible.

I was hired in a different division with same title senior manager and kept/maintained same salary which was at the cap of the salary range.

I was laid off in Oct and started applying and interviewing for positions in November. The interview process was ridiculous considering the role I was interviewing for and there was zero communication. Happy I eventually found a job with a different company.

Good point. Depending on your salary and the current job market....
There are places where applications sit for months, only to be given to an internal hire.

Yes but one of the most important things to know is that if you get as far as an offer you basically have to accept it. If you turn down an offer you will lose your severance.
